Privacy Policy

How Inningz handles your data

Inningz scores cricket matches. This page says plainly what it stores, where, and how you can take it back.

01Who we are

Inningz is a cricket scoring app for Android. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the people who make and run Inningz. It explains what the app collects, why, who can see it and how you can remove it.

02What we collect

If you use the app as a guest

Nothing is sent to us. Teams, players and matches are stored on your phone only. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes them.

If you sign in with Google

Through our sign-in provider Supabase, we receive your name, email address, profile picture link and a unique account ID from Google. We never see your Google password.

Cricket data you create while signed in

Team names, short codes and colours. Player names, short names, batting hand, bowling style and notes. Match details such as teams, overs, ground, toss and rules, plus every innings, every ball bowled and the scorecards built from them. This is saved to our servers so you can back it up and share it. Please add only the names of people who are happy to be listed.

Shared matches

When you share a match, the app creates a random join code and QR code. Anyone who enters it can open that match and score the innings given to them. We record which accounts joined a match and who scores each innings.

Camera

The camera is used only on the Join Match screen, to scan a match QR code. The image is read on your phone to find the code. No photo or video is saved or uploaded. You can switch camera access off in Android settings and type the join code instead.

Technical data

When the app opens it may check for an update from Expo’s update service, which receives the app version, your platform and your IP address. When you use the cloud features, our hosting provider logs standard request data such as IP address and time. We use this only to deliver and secure the service.

What we do not collect

Your location, contacts, microphone recordings, advertising ID or payment details. The app contains no advertising or analytics tracking.

03How we use it

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

04Who it is shared with

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

05Where it is stored and how it is protected

Signed-in data is stored on Supabase infrastructure and may be processed in countries other than your own. It travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access rules on the database make sure an account can read only its own data and the matches it has joined. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

06How long we keep it

07Your choices and rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK or another region with data protection law, you may also ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, object to how we use it, or complain to your local data protection authority. We process your data to provide the app you asked for, to keep it secure, and, for the camera, with your permission. Email us and we will reply within 30 days.

08Children

Inningz is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

09Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its effective date, and tell you in the app when the change is significant. This version is effective 26 October 2026.
